PARISH NEWS

EASTER EGG HUNT
Join us after the 11:00am Mass on Easter Sunday for an Easter Egg Hunt! The Easter Bunny will be here on the Church lawn to help hunt for eggs. BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket!)

ARCHDIOCESAN ANNUAL FUND
The Archdiocesan Annual Fund continues this week in our parish. Our parish response to date is $13,195.00. As of this writing, 176 parishioners have responded, helping us achieve 66% of our parish target of $20,000. We are most grateful to those who have been so generous. To our remaining parishioners, we urge you to consider a gift or pledge: no gift is too small.

WINNER’S CIRCLE
Congratulations to our newest Winners! For a $5 donation, they won $100 every time the Ohio Lottery called their numbers. YOU can be a Winner, too—just get your tickets after mass, or in the Rectory during regular business hours. #212 Bob Sharp, Beavercreek #199 Roma Taylor, Dayton
#189 Karen Brumbaugh, West Milton #983 Lois Heeter, Dayton

ROSARY ALTAR
The Rummage Sale is quickly approaching! We will accept your treasures for the Rummage Sale Tuesday, Apr. 10 through Friday, Apr. 13 from 10:00am –6:00pm in MSH. All items must be in good working condition; no computers, typewriters, or soiled or torn upholstered furniture please. The sale will be on Saturday, Apr. 14 from 9:00am –4:00pm in MSH. See you there!

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY
Look what we’re doing! We are going to create a new pictorial directory of our church family, which will help us connect names and faces. We need you to participate by having your portrait taken during the second week of May. We will begin signing up appointments next weekend; portraits will be taken in May.
We also need your help with telephoning and hosting. If you are interested, please call Katherine at 252-9919 ext. 228. We need YOU to make this project a success!

ITE MISSA EST
The Immaculate Conception Adult Faith Formation Ministry now has daily reflections and weekend homilies posted on itemissaest.org. Check it for upcoming events!

TAX STATEMENTS
Due to recent changes in tax laws, beginning with contributions made in 2007, parishioners (who itemize their tax returns) will no longer be able to deduct contributions to the parish unless they maintain a bank record or written contribution statement from the parish. If you wish to ensure deductibility of your contributions, please use a check or your parish envelope. The parish will track contributions made using parish envelopes, and will, upon request, produce a written statement of contributions made during 2007. Cancelled checks and other bank records are also sufficient documentation. The parish cannot track cash contributions not in parish tithe envelopes. If you do not have tithe envelopes, call Katherine at 252-9919 ext 228, and she will get them ready for you.

PRAYER CHAIN
In Luke 11:9, Jesus says to us, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.” We encourage you to call the Prayer Chain anytime you, a friend, neighbor, or relative is in need of prayer. We have a team of 13 people who pray daily for all the requests we receive, and we invite you to join this ministry. Call Mary Bochenek at 256-4737 to submit a prayer request or to join the team.

OUTREACH
When was the last time you wondered where your next meal was coming from? Our St. Vincent DePaul food pantry hears daily from our neighbors who are in need of food for their families. To help keep our shelves stocked, we have placed a barrel in the main vestibule for you to drop your food and other non-perishable donations. We appreciate all you can give…but please, we CANNOT accept items that are past their expiration dates.
Grateful Believers…Stewardship as a way of life
