ROSARY ALTAR
Attention all ladies of IC! You are cordially invited to Rosary Altar’s February meeting on Tuesday the 20th at 1:00pm in MSH. Following the meeting, scrumptious desserts will be provided by Carm Duckro, Alma Hart, Ruth Kreitzer, and Rita Tangeman—and these desserts can only be topped by the popular “dice game”. Don’t forget to bring a fascinating white elephant gift to exchange. Remember: “all are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this group!”

LENTEN REMINDERS – FAST AND ABSTINENCE
Ash Wednesday, Feb 21, 2007, and Good Friday, Apr. 6, 2007 are days of abstinence from meat and also days of fast, that is, limited to a single full meal. With regard to Good Friday, the teaching of the Second Vatican Council should be recalled: Let the paschal fast be kept sacred. Let it be celebrated everywhere on Good Friday and, where possible, prolonged throughout Holy Saturday, so that the joys of the Sunday of the Resurrection may be attained with uplifted and clear mind. Constitution on the Liturgy, No 110.
The other Fridays of the season of Lent are days of abstinence from meat; the law of abstinence binds Catholics 14 years and older. The law of fasting binds all Catholics from their 18th birthday until their 59th birthday (canons 97 and 1252).

WAY OF THE CROSS
Join us as we observe the Lenten season with the Way of the Cross on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm in the Church. Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 27,each week we will follow a different format, reflecting on different aspects of the season. The Parish Penance Service will be held on Tuesday Mar. 13 at 7:00pm.

LENTEN RETREAT
On Saturday, Mar. 10, Fr. Satish will present “Help Me! Somebody”, a discussion of forgiveness and healing. This event will be held in the Church from 9am –1pm, and lunch will be provided. Tickets are $10 each, and pre-registration is required. For information call 252-9919.
