FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS AT I.C. Join us at 8:15am for Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, seasonal litany, and Benediction each First Saturday of every month. Mass, Exposition, Rosary, Seasonal Litany, and Benediction are currently celebrated Mondays through Fridays beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Chapel.

HOSPITAL CALLS AND VISITATION:
Please notify the Rectory if a family member is in the hospital or at home with a severe or prolonged illness. In accord with current privacy policies, hospitals do not inform us of parishioners entering the hospital; they call only at the patient’s request.

ARCHDIOCESAN ANNUAL FUND

The Archdiocesan Annual Fund continues this week in our parish. Our parish response to date is $13,965.00. As of Apr. 15, 196 parishioners have responded, helping us achieve 69% of our parish target of $20,000. We are most grateful to those who have been so generous. To our remaining parishioners, we urge you to consider a gift or pledge: no gift is too small.

ITE MISSA EST
The Immaculate Conception Adult Faith Formation ministry now has daily reflections and weekend homilies posted on itemissaest.org. The next event is at 7:00pm on May 9: “Why I became Catholic” (the personal testimonies of former Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, and non-believers).

EDUCATION FUND UPDATE
The Education Fund currently has a matching grant program. For every two dollars donated to the Education Fund, a generous donor will match it with one dollar. Thank you for your support and generosity extended to the Education Fund. The monies currently being collected will allow IC to continue to have tuition aid available for our qualifying families in the future.

The Restoration and Education Funds are “restricted”: they do not reflect nor affect the regular operating budget which depends on your weekly tithe contributions to the Church.

IT’S RIGHT TO READ WEEK!
Celebrating the joy of books, the ICS students will get to: visit the Scholastic Book Fair, dress up for Character Day on Tuesday, Apr. 24, and play Right to Read Week Bingo. You can also visit the Book Fair after school on Monday, Apr. 23 through Friday, Apr. 27. On Thursday, the Fair will be open until 5:30pm, so this is a great time to stock up on summer reading.

OUT OF PARISH

ATTENTION GOLFERS!
The Ascension Golf League extends an invitation to men and women of IC to join the League as regular-season players or substitutes. This is a fun league; all skill levels from beginners to accomplished are welcome. Play is every Tuesday at Rollandia beginning Apr. 24. For more information, call Dennis Grosjean at 427-2550.

DARFUR AWARENESS NIGHT
Ohioans of all ages, races, cultures, and faiths are invited to join together at Fountain Square in Cincinnati for a gripping presentation about the conditions in Darfur, where almost 400,000 people have died in the past three years. Our focus is what we, as individuals, can do to help. Join us on Tuesday, May 1; we will gather at 6:00pm, the event begins at 6:30pm, and we will walk to the Freedom Center at 7:30pm. LIFE LINE SCREENINGS
Life Line Screenings will be at Dayton Heart Hospital on May 15 from 9am –4pm. They will use ultrasound to screen for the risks of stroke, vascular disease, and osteoporosis – four screenings for $129. To schedule, or for more information, call 1-800-779-6353. ATTENTION KNOLLWOOD SHOPPERS
The CHS Band is selling Knollwood gift cards for $20 each, good for $20 worth of any merchandise at Knollwood. The CHS Music Department will receive $4 for each card sold; this also supports the band program at the feeder schools (which includes ICS). PARISH REGISTRATION/CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Visitors and Friends: Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church! The only sure way to become a registered member of the parish family is to fill out a registration form (below) or a pew card; drop either in the collection basket, or return it to the rectory office. There is no automatic registration if you attend mass regularly, or even if your children attend Immaculate Conception School or Immaculate Conception Religious Education Classes. If you have any questions please call the Rectory at 252-9919.
