CONTINUED RESTORATION FUND UPDATE
Great News! Private donors have offered us a challenging opportunity: for every dollar donated by the parish, they will match it dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. This will make a big difference in funding our next project: replacing the church sound system, including baffles, rewiring, acoustical adjustments, tiles, etc.

Total to Date $ 36,255.57
November $ 2,935.50
Total $ 39,191.07

EDUCATION FUND UPDATE
The Education Fund currently has a matching grant program. For every two dollars donated to the Education Fund, a generous donor will match it with one dollar. Thank you for your support and generosity extended to the Education Fund. The monies currently being collected will allow IC to continue to have tuition aid available for our qualifying families in the future.

Total to Date $ 23,686.57
November 1,229.50
Total: $ 24,916.07

The Restoration and Education Funds are “restricted”: they do not reflect nor affect the regular operating budget which depends on your weekly tithe contributions to the Church.

ALTAR FLOWERS
If you would like to commemorate a special event or person with altar flowers, please contact Katherine at the Rectory at 252-9919.

SCHOOL NEWS (schoolhouse clip art)

ICS FUN FACTS
**ICS now has 209 students enrolled in grades K-8
**Several ICS artists received awards at the UD “Nativity Through Children’s Eyes” exhibit, on display in the UD
Library. Matt Barnes won $50 , Katy Mikola won $25, and Philip Connair, Georgie Ravelli, Kasey Riffey, and Gabby Tunney received Honorable Mentions. Congratulations to all of our talented students whose work was submitted!
**ICS students collected 564 pairs of socks for St. Vincent DePaul.
**The Kindergarteners recently visited Aullwood Farm to see the real ‘friendly beasts’ and to make hand-dipped beeswax candles.
**First and second graders celebrated St. Nicks Day with a service project: they made placemats for Huffman Place Senior Community Center Christmas Party
**Student Council sponsored a sucker sale, with proceeds to go to the Giving Tree
**IC Daycare has moved to their new rooms in the junior high wing, and offers preschool for ages 3-5, in addition to all-day care, and after school programs for ages 6-11.

BASEBALL/VOLLEYBALL SIGNUPS
ICS Baseball/Volleyball signups will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19 and Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm in MSH. Students in grades 4-8 are eligible; the cost is $35 for baseball and $45 for volleyball. Please call Barbi Byrd for information.

FISH FRY
Yes, it’s that time of year again…time to start lining up our volunteers for the annual ICS PTO Fish Fry. If you would like to chair a booth (we really need Kitchen and Black Jack chairs!), work in a booth, help cook and/or clean up, please call Andrea Ravelli at 252-2923, or Barbi Byrd at 256-0625. Admission tickets will be available beginning Jan. 16 in the School and Rectory Offices during regular business hour; tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door.

CERTIFICATE AND SCRIPT PROGRAMS
There are so many easy ways to benefit our school when you shop at local businesses!

KROGER offers community rewards with their reloadable cards. Simply purchase a card at church or school for $5 (the $5 value is already loaded on the card), and load your card before purchasing your groceries. At the end of the month, Kroger send ICS a check for a percentage of purchases—the more purchases, the higher the percentage.
SHERWIN WILLIAMS has a rebate program. ICS cards are available in the vestibules. TARGET charge customers can designate ICS as their partner by registering at the customer service desk or online at Target.com
The SUNU COLLECTION at the Fairfield Commons Mall is a new vendor on our list of community partners. The store carries olive wood sculptures, mother of pearl items, rosaries, and much more, and will remit 10% to ICS; pick up a flyer in the main vestibule.
In addition, we also have a terrific script program where you can purchase gift certificates from national retailers, restaurants, gas stations, and more. See the order forms in the vestibules, online at icdayton.org, or contact Judy Markley at 254-2805.
As always, Kohl’s and Dot’s certificates are available through the church and the school. Kohl’s certificates may be used to pay on Kohl’s charge card bills, or as cash in the store. Dot’s certificates provide the parish with a percentage of each certificate sold.
Please patronize these businesses AND help our school at the same time!

EDCHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM
The next EdChoice application period will run from Jan. 27, 2007 – Apr. 20, 2007 for the 2007-2008 school year. Eligibility for a scholarship is determined by attendance and/or assignment to a school that has been rated in “academic emergency” or “academic watch” for the past three years. A list of these schools is posted on the EdChoice website at http://EdChoice.Ohio.gov, or you may call the school office at 253-8831.

PARISH REGISTRATION/CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Visitors and Friends: Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church! The only sure way to become a registered member of the parish family is to fill out a registration form (below) or a pew card; drop either in the collection basket, or return it to the rectory office. There is no automatic registration if you attend mass regularly, or even if your children attend Immaculate Conception School or Immaculate Conception Religious Education Classes. If you have any questions please call the Rectory at 252-9919..
