ST. VINCENT FOOD PANTRY

When was the last time you wondered where your next meal was coming from?  Our St. Vincent DePaul food pantry hears daily from our neighbors who are in need of food for their families.  To help keep our shelves stocked, we have placed a barrel in the main vestibule for you to drop your food and other non-perishable donations.  We appreciate all you can give…but please, we CANNOT accept items that are past their expiration dates.

WELCOME VISITORS!

We are glad you are visiting us. For your information:

1) Restrooms are available on the lower level.

2) Hearing aides are available from the ushers.

3) Please let our parishioners near you know that you are a visitor so that they may welcome you and answer any questions that you may have.

PRAYER CHAIN

In Luke 11:9, Jesus says to us, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.”  We encourage you to call the Prayer Chain anytime you, a friend, neighbor, or relative is in need of prayer.  We have a team of 13 people who pray daily for all the requests we receive, and we invite you to join this ministry.  Call Mary Bochenek at 256-4737 to submit a prayer request or to join the team.

TAX STATEMENTS

Due to recent changes in tax laws, beginning with contributions made in 2007, parishioners (who itemize their tax returns) will no longer be able to deduct contributions to the parish unless they maintain a bank record or written contribution statement from the parish.  If you wish to ensure deductibility of your contributions, please use a check or your parish envelope.  The parish will track contributions made using parish envelopes, and will, upon request, produce a written statement of contributions made during 2007.  Cancelled checks and other bank records are also sufficient documentation.  The parish cannot track cash contributions not in parish tithe envelopes.  If you do not have tithe envelopes, call the office at 252-9919, and we will get them ready for you.

CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL

The Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA) is an annual effort by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to spread the Gospel through informing and engaging the faithful with important regional ministries that benefit thousands of people throughout 19 countries in western and southwestern Ohio.  We invite you to share your gifts of time, talent, and treasure to participate in the life of our local church through these ministries.  As part of the on-going information efforts of the CMA, Ministry Reception Suppers have been scheduled across the Archdiocese to engage those interested in learning more about the regional ministries and services in their local region.  Each 90 minute Ministry Reception Supper will begin with a 15 minute Evening Prayer, followed by a 30 minute presentation by Catholic Social Services, concluded with a spaghetti dinner.  Space is limited in some locations, so register soon!

Please register for the Ministry Reception Suppers on-line at www.catholicappeal.info.  These are the dates, times and places for the Suppers.
