Parish News
A YEAR OF PRAYEREUCHARISTIC ADORATION AND PRAYER
The parish theme for the new liturgical year is “Prayer". On the first Tuesday of each month, the Church will be open for prayer and adoration from 10:00am – 7:00pm. (Adoration is not exposition or benediction; it is simply adoratory prayer before the Blessed Sacrament contained in the tabernacle, and it is powerful.) Come pray for the parish and for all parishioners; pray for peace; pray for an increase in priestly and religious vocations. We are asking a commitment of one hour per month.
FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS AT I.C.
Join us each first Saturday at 8:15am for Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, seasonal litany, and Benediction each First Saturday of every month beginning at 8:15 a.m. in Church. Mass, Exposition, Rosary, Seasonal Litany, and Benediction are currently celebrated Mondays through Fridays beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Chapel, any time there is not a school mass.
VOCATION VIEWS

FREE SPIRITS
Now that the winter snows are over and we’re all getting ready for spring, Stockslager’s Garden Center will have a speaker at the April 12 meeting at 1:00pm in MSH. Bring a snack to share (and a friend or two!), and join us for an informative afternoon. Questions? Call Mary Umina at 254-4405.
OUTREACH
We have added a new service to our Parish Health Ministry. Parishioner Janet Stocker is a certified “Reach to Recovery” volunteer, and she is offering her services to those who are facing breast cancer and are in need of reassurance, answers, and comfort. Janet is a cancer survivor who would like to help those who are dealing with this same disease. For more information, call Janet at 252-4391, and see the brochures on the information rack in the main vestibule.
WE CARE - WE SHARE
When was the last time you wondered where your next meal was coming from? Our St. Vincent DePaul food pantry hears daily from our neighbors who are in need of food for their families. To help keep our shelves stocked, we have placed a barrel in the main vestibule for you to drop your food and other non-perishable donations into. We appreciate all you can give…but please, we CANNOT accept items that are past their expiration dates! Dry goods, canned goods, air-tight products/packaged goods, and jarred items are most helpful. For current, unexpired frozen items, please call Gerry McLaughlin at the Rectory. Thanks so much!

CONTINUED RESTORATION FUND UPDATE Great News! Private donors have offered us a challenging opportunity: for every dollar donated by the parish, they will match it dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. This will make a big difference in funding our next project, which is replacing the church sound system. Total to Date $ 8,438.00 March $ 2,990.50 Total $11,428.50 EDUCATION FUND UPDATE The Education Fund currently has a matching grant program. For every two dollars donated to the Education Fund a generous donor will match it with one dollar. Thank you for your support and generosity to the Education Fund. The monies currently being collected will allow IC to continue to have tuition aid available for our qualifying families in the future. Total to Date $ 13,017.00 March $ 1,492.50 Total: $ 14,479.50 The Restoration and Education Funds are “restricted”: they do not reflect nor impact the regular operating budget which depends on your weekly tithe contributions to the Church. |
