A YEAR OF PRAYERFIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS AT I.C.
Join us each first Saturday at 8:15am for Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, seasonal litany, and Benediction each First Saturday of every month beginning at 8:15 a.m. in Church. Mass, Exposition, Rosary, Seasonal Litany, and Benediction are currently celebrated Mondays through Fridays beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Chapel, any time there is not a school mass.

Rehearsals for the 11:00am Adult Choir will begin Sunday, Sep. 10, from 9:00am-10:30am in the Choir Room in the Undercroft. Any interested persons high school age or older are encouraged to consider membership in this worthwhile ministry. Painful auditions, musical experience, and knowledge of music are NOT required—only the abilities to carry a tune, and enjoy meeting and singing with fellow parishioners. PARTNERING
Coming to Dayton on Wednesday, Oct. 25 is Sr. Helen Prejean, Catholic activist who works in prison ministry, and central figure in the movie Dead Man Walking. Sr. Prejean has also written The Death of Innocents, which discusses the treatment of the imprisoned poor. In preparation of her visit, the St. Helen Book Club invites you to join them in the Big Catholic Read and discussion of that book. Discounted copies may be prepaid and ordered through Immaculate Conception ($11.20, payable to Immaculate Conception) no later than Aug. 27. CONTINUED RESTORATION FUND UPDATE Great News! Private donors have offered us a challenging opportunity: for every dollar donated by the parish, they will match it dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. This will make a big difference in funding our next project, which is replacing the church sound system. Total to Date $ 27,373.00 August $ 3,088.00 Total $ 30,461.00 EDUCATION FUND UPDATE The Education Fund currently has a matching grant program. For every two dollars donated to the Education Fund a generous donor will match it with one dollar. Thank you for your support and generosity to the Education Fund. GRANDPARENTS WANTED
Would you like to earn some extra cash while helping children? The Senior Resource Connection’s Foster Grandparent Program is looking for dedicated seniors to work for 20 hours per week helping children with special needs in exchange for a modest stipend. Applicants must be age 60 or older and income eligible. Volunteers also receive transportation reimbursement, a free yearly physical, and supplemental insurance.
