FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS AT I.C. Join us at 8:15am for Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, seasonal litany, and Benediction each First Saturday of every month. Mass, Exposition, Rosary, Seasonal Litany, and Benediction are currently celebrated Mondays through Fridays beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Chapel.

VOCATION VIEWS
Jesus promised his disciples that they would be clothed in power from God. As a follower of Jesus, you are also given that same promise. Pray for the grace to be a faithful witness. (Luke 24:46-53) For vocation information, call Fr. Kyle Schnippel at (513) 421-3131 ext 354.

Please notify the Rectory if a family member is in the hospital or at home with a severe or prolonged illness. In accord with current privacy policies, hospitals do not inform us of parishioners entering the hospital; they call only at the patient’s request.

THANKS!
A sincere thanks to all who helped sell flowers for the Mother’s day Right to Life Flower Sale. Also, thanks to all those who purchased them; our parish raised $634 to give to this worthy cause.

ITE MISSA EST
Join the IC Adult Faith Formation Ministry for “Holy Smoke!”, the spark behind the theology of Benedict XVI. This presentation on June 13 at 7pm in MSH will feature Dennis Doyle, Ph.D. For daily reflections and homilies, check itemissaest.org.

MEMORIAL DAY
The Memorial Day mass for Region 6, Immaculate Conception and St. Helen’s, will be celebrated at St. Helen on Monday, May 28 at 9am. No mass at Immaculate Conception on Memorial Day.

PARTNERING
The work of diocesan parish relationships/cooperatives continues with a three-some partnering meeting with Ascension, Immaculate Conception, and St. Helen’s on June 17. The regional relationship, two-some, will meet at St. Helen’s (Immaculate and St. Helen’s) on June 23.

The deanery schools planning process moves into a time period of commitment from June 2007 through the fall of 2007. Slowly we will make steps toward doing things together as schools that we cannot do apart.

CONTINUED RESTORATION FUND UPDATE
Our next project is replacing the church sound system including the baffles. The preliminary estimates are between $140,000.00--$160,000.00. Phase one of this project will be the removal of the old baffles, brickwork and installation of the new baffles. Phase two will be the removal of the old sound system, new wiring and installation of the new system. Please continue your generosity.

EDUCATION FUND UPDATE
The Education Fund currently has a matching grant program. For every two dollars donated to the Education Fund, a generous donor will match it with one dollar. Thank you for your support and generosity extended to the Education Fund. The monies currently being collected will allow IC to continue to have tuition aid available for our qualifying families in the future.

SCHOOL NEWS

NEWS FROM THE FRONT
Congratulations are due to: Seventh grader Tyler Bundy, who competed in the State Science Fair against high school students, and received an “excellent” rating. He also earned the Ohio Young Scientists Award, the Germ Prevention Award, and the Young Doctor Award. Eddie Wolff was the second grade runner-up in the Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest recently held through Books and Co. and Think TV. Three of our students are winners in the statewide Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Art Contest: Fifth grader Maddie Boone won a First Place, and her drawing will be published in the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund/Family and Children First Council annual calendar. Phillip Connair and Megan Kearney, fifth graders, won Honorable Mentions in the same contest. Congratulations to all of our talented students!

FIELD DAY
Adult volunteers are needed to manage game stations, run relay races, organize and distribute picnic lunches. Please call the school office to volunteer, 253-8831.

SPECIAL MASS AT ST. BENEDICT
Fr. Clement Oyafemi of Renew Ministries invites you to a very special mass honoring Fr. George Clements, adoptive father of four boys and world-renowned founder of the One Church – One Child program. Fr. George’s work has resulted in the adoption of over 100,000 children nationwide. The 50th Anniversary of Ordination Mass will be at St. Benedict the Moor parish on Tuesday, May 29 at 7pm. Come join us for this rare opportunity to hear and meet this legendary, inspiring priest.

CHS FUNDRAISER
On June 2, you can support CHS Football by participating in the first Football Golf Outing at Locust Hills Golf Course in Springfield. JULIENNE REUNION
The Julienne High School Alumnae reunion will be held on June 3 at the NCR Country Club. Mass will begin at 10:30am, followed by lunch at 12:00pm. The cost is $18 per person; RSVP to Shirley Portner at 254-1064 by May 25.

SUMMER CAMP

PARISH REGISTRATION/CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Visitors and Friends: Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church! The only sure way to become a registered member of the parish family is to fill out a registration form (below) or a pew card; drop either in the collection basket, or return it to the rectory office. There is no automatic registration if you attend mass regularly, or even if your children attend Immaculate Conception School or Immaculate Conception Religious Education Classes. If you have any questions please call the Rectory at 252-9919.
